HMD Global has launched its mobile phone line that has little relation to Nokia. Three models called Pulse, Pulse Plus, and Pulse Pro were presented under the new series of Finnish telecommunications company. HMD stated that every product within the Pulse series is designed with a focus on repairability. According to HMD, using the iFixit repair site users of Pulse devices will be able to change the cracked screen, crooked charger port, or exhausted battery themselves.

    HMD Pulse series: Availability

HMD Global’s Pulse will be available in the European countries in the next few months. HMD is expected to introduce its smartphones in the United States market under Vibe branding. All the three smartphones are likely to be rolled out in the Indian market after the initial launch phase.

    HMD Pulse series: Details

All the three smartphones in the series use Unisoc T606 chipset and have 6.65” HD+ displays with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Between the Pulse and Pulse Plus smartphones, only the former has 4 GB and the latter 6 GB of RAM, while the high-end Pulse Pro is available in 6 GB RAM and thinner profile. However, the lowest storage capacity is only available on the base variant of 64GB. On the Plus and Pro variants, the internal storage configurations are 128GB.

The HMD Pulse series, while tipped at being the cheapest smartphone models on the budget-friendly end, includes an impressive 5000mAh battery across all models in the line, Pulse and Pulse Plus offer 10W charging while Pulse Pro provides 20W wired charging.

The HMD Pulse smartphone has a 13-megapixel main camera located on the rear side of the device and features of the Pulse+ and Pulse Pro models include a 50MP main camera sensor. The Pro model it should be noted comes with a 2MP depth camera. For selfies the base model and Plus model have an 8 MP shooter for the Pro model has a 50 MP camera sensor.

    HMD Vibe: Characteristics

As for the HMD Vibe, which one is assumed to be an ever exclusive to the US, it is predicted to be operating on Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. Just like the Pulse series smartphones, HMD Vibe is also likely to feature a 6.65 inch 90Hz HD+ screen. The smartphone would likely feature a 13MP secondary camera and a 4000mAh power battery.
