Apple is expected to announce two additional models of the AirPods 4 this year. These buds should be made available to the public during the iPhone 16 function in September. There is not too much information available concerning these devices. Still, I think Apple has to heed on how its Beats brand is currently being updated, at least in the case of the Beats Studio Buds+ and the Beats Solo Buds.

Shifting attention to the AirPods 4, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman anticipates that Apple would announce two AirPods 4 models. In contrast, both would come with a USB-C port instead of lightning. The entry level version would be more of an AirPods 3 replica as the other would feature a fixed ear tip for the active noise cancellation. Such a better model would also come with a revised charging case that has speakers for Find My Alert addition to the short battery life.
Other possibilities for these earbuds include hearing-aid-like features to AirPods 4 in addition to the H2 chip and improved battery life.
Beats latest releases could tease what to expect from Apple
After a long break, the lineup of Beats has the best constancy. Thanks to new products, the company managed to pull out the same sound on different pricing tiers, only modifying or adding features to make its devices more/or less premium. Given that AirPods 4 are meant to phase out AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 versions, I wish Apple would differentiate the various models more. That’s the reason why I appreciate that Apple might give a square without ear-tips as its the most optimum version. Also, I think it would be odd with this scenario whereby the company won’t have offer airpods with changeless ear tips for new airpods because it’s limitations will reduce their market and hence sales.
In that regard, I see AirPods 4 cheaper coming in at $100 without anthem noise cancellation which will be little improvement on the 3rd generation. I believe while Apple may get this device you may add the battery of this device for extending battery life, I don’t think they will introduce a normal type of bone conduction like a beats solo buds case which has a great battery life but with a standard shell type case.
Recent reports say that the upcoming AirPods 4 on the pricier side will be close to New Beats Studio Buds+ but will offer more benefits. Thus, the end users will receive excellent sound quality and decent Find My features, however, there will be no Transparency Mode or any other bells and whistles that come with AirPods Pro 2.
